CHIMEDDORJ SHAGDARJAVIN Chimeddorj Shagdarjavin (b. 1954) was raised in Mongolia within a culture of nomadic horsemen. He depicts the body language of horses through sensitive and varied use of spare strokes of ink and modernist applications of oil paint. Deep blue color plays an important role in his work, partly expressing the depth of space felt on the Mongolian steppe. Internationally collected, some consider him the world’s leading contemporary painter of horses. His works are part of the permanent collections of eight museums in Europe as well in as Korea and Mongolia.

TSOLMON DAMBA Born in Darkhan City of Northern Mongolia, Tsolmon Damba studied Monumental Art at the College of Fine Art in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Upon graduation he taught Studio Art at the College for two years. He has had a number of live demonstrations at the Smithsonian's Freer Gallery of Art, the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and the Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. As recognition for the universal appeal for his art, Tsolmon was chosen to paint a mural for the Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford, Connecticut, Not only is he remarkably original in his ideas, all of his artworks are original- he makes no reproductions. His high level of craft and production is made possible through his extremely hard work and his dedication and love of his craft.
